Spain makes a great destination for any kind of trip, may it be family vacation, educational tour, honeymoon or backpackers’ travels. It is considered as an exotic country in Europe because of its friendly inhabitants, sumptuous cuisine, vibrant nightlife, relaxed lifestyle and world famous folklore and festivities. Summer is hot in the interior of Spain and more moderate cloudy along the coasts. The nationality of the people in this country is Spanish but the language is diverse with 74% in population speak Spanish, 17% speaks Catalan – Valencian, 7% Galician and 2% Basque.
Where to Go?
Burgos Cathedral – Popularly called as the Saint Mary Cathedral that is located in Plaza de Santa Maria in Burgos. The antique doorways, the Cristo de Burgos sided of the chapel and the Papamoscas clock with the Diocesan museum which features the 17 and 16th century tapestries are the main attractions in the church.
Monte Perdido – Located at the northern part of the province of Huesca with a height of 11,007 feet. It is one of the highest mountains in the mountain range of Pyreness. Aside from the beautiful picturesque of Monte Perdido, the most visited place here is also the Monte Perdido National Park and the Ordesa National Park.
El Escorial – Situated in the autonomous community of Madrid, El Escorial is used nowadays as a school, museum, monastery and a royal palace to the country’s king. The main attractions of the place are the king patios which are the Basilica of San Lorenzo and the pantheon of Queen and Kings.
Las Medulas – It is situated in the Community of Castle and Leon and it is one of the top 10 tourist spots in Spain. Here lie the archeologists’ most valued evidences and traces of mining using a hydraulic power of the Roman Empire’s gold mine.
Garajonay National Park – It is found at the La Gomera Island where travelers can do different things such as hiking, trekking and biking. Some national parks are also located here like the Gunache Sanctuary, the Laurasilva and the Roque de Agando.
Elche Palm Tree Forest – It is one of the world’s largest palm groves. Elche Palm Tree Forest is found at the province of Alicante in Spain which features at least 11,000 palm trees. People can visit the orchards in Parque Municipal that cover at least 3.5 square kilometres.
Seville Cathedral – The Cathedra of Saint Mary of the See and it is the world’s biggest Gothic cathedral because it has 80 chapels. The artwork The Vision of Saint Anthony is displayed at the Chapel of Saint Anthony that is also located in this cathedral.
Alhambra Palace – It is located in Granda, Spain and the former house of the Moorish Muslim’s leaders. You can find here the Gate of Pomegranates, the Pillar of Charles V and the Gate of Judgment.
Sagrada Familia – Another one on the top 10 tourist spots of Spain is the Sagrada Familia. This place features religious artifacts that have three facades, namely Glory facade, Nativity facade and Passion facade. The three historic personalities remained in this place which is the Constantia of Sicili, Siblia de Forcia and Marie de Lusignan.
Santiago de Compostela Cathedral – It is found in Galicia, Spain where Saint James de greater was buried.
