Airport Transfers for the Solo Traveler

November 3, 2016 By itravelnet.com

Airport Transfers for the Solo Traveler

Despite all its joys, traveling solo can of course be tough. In particular navigating an unfamiliar airport in a new country can pose a challenge if you arrive late at night or in the early hours of the morning. Scams are an unfortunate reality that the solo traveler must be wary of, as those traveling alone make for a particularly easy target for intimidation tactics! In particular, Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport and Manila’s Ninoy Aquino Airport are consistently ranked two of the worst to fly into, with even the government sanctioned and registered taxi companies known to pull a sly one on unsuspecting travelers.

Luckily, there is a new option available for those who wish for a smooth and stress-free airport transfer for their next adventure. German startup Blacklane offers private airport transfer services worldwide that can be booked ahead of time via their website, or iOS and Andriod smartphone app. Their meet and greet service ensures that one of their hand-picked, professional drivers will be waiting for you at arrivals with a personalized sign, to personally escort you to your waiting car. Blacklane only employs drivers who have a proven track record with a local limousine or chauffeur company, so you rest assured that your onward ride into the city will be completely safe and scam-free.

Unlike other transport apps such as Uber, Blacklane does not have surge pricing. Which means the price you see upon booking is the price you pay inclusive of all gratuities and fees. One thing to be aware of however, is that Blacklane is not an on-demand service and must be booked with at least an hours notice! But for airport transfers this isn’t a problem, as you can just make your booking prior to boarding your flight and take a load off, safe in the knowledge that you will have a car ready and waiting for you at the other end. Bliss!

After their recent expansion into Asia and Australasia, Blacklane is now available for airport transfers in 230+ cities worldwide spanning all five continents, so no matter where your journey takes you chances are they can help you out. So, next time you are traveling solo and have some misgivings about onward travel, give Blacklane a try for ultimate peace of mind.
