If you have been on a long flight then you know it can be a nightmare, long flights can make you feel exasperated and peevish. Use the time on the airplane to catch up on a few things that you might have been putting off for a while. Here are some fun ways to turn your lifeless flight time into a lively one.
1. Read book and magazines- the E way:
No one loves a long flight and some of us don’t like reading books, but with a little foresight it can prove to be the perfect opportunity to discover a new favorite read, a new way. Load an e-reader or tablet with e-books to save space in your luggage. If you’d rather listen to books and save some space in your luggage, try downloading audiobooks to a phone, MP3 player, or tablet and make sure to bring headphones so you can listen to them.
2. Go online:
Plenty of flights have in-flight wifi these days which makes long commutes a breeze. You can do loads of things like simply stumbling the web or finishing some work or surfing the social networking sites. You can even play online games such as online bingo on bucky bingo where you can do 3 things at a time- play games, make friends and earn money. Click here for Bucky Bingo review.
3. Movies and podcast:
Zone out a movie. Movies are a good choice because they last longer and are generally enjoyable. I’m sure everyone loves watching movies. Is there anyone out there who doesn’t (or at least doesn’t prefer it on a flight)? Well not to worry, we have something for you guys as well. Podcast. Podcast are a great, free source of entertainment. The best part about podcast is that you can download them and listen to them offline.
4. Sleeeeeeep:
Simply sleep. Bring in your small survival go-to-gear tools to make your long flight haul a comfortable one. Lug around neck pillows, eye masks, earplugs and noise-canceling headphones. The seat could be a little problematic, as you cant really do anything about it, try to sleep in a comfortable position. If you brought a pillow, put it on the tray in front of you and rest on that. If you have a window seat, leaning against the wall or window can be much more comfortable than leaning back. Recline your seat as far as possible to make leaning back more comfortable and sleep with an eye mask on that will help you with the discomfort of lighting that doesn’t let you sleep peacefully.
5. Socialize:
Socialize with the people around you. Pick up a conversation with your neighbors, a light conversation can go a long way in making the long flight a lot more interesting. Ask them question related to their travels and trips and if your neighbor is from another country, try to learn more about them and share about yourself as well. But if the other person is disinterested then do not annoy them by asking too many question. You’ll know from their answers if they are interested or not. Make sure you phrase your opening line as a question as it allows you some leeway to put some follow up.
So there you go. These are the few “usual things-the unusual way” to do in a flight to make it enjoyable and fun.
