If ever you’ve assumed that hotels near airports were useless to everyone but business people, I’m here to tell you to think again!
About this time two years ago, my family and I were looking forward to a holiday in Florida. It was very exciting, but before we could embrace the fun of it all, my partner and I were all too aware that we needed to leave in the small hours of the morning to make our flight at 10am. With two kids we were dubious about just how smooth the start of our holiday could be. While booking our insurance and other necessities online, it suddenly dawned on us that there’s a whole host of hotels based right near airports across the country. So we did our research and booked one of the Gatwick hotels, and it’s safe to say we haven’t looked back since.
By booking into an airport hotel, you get the best of both worlds. You can book the otherwise inconvenient, but significantly cheaper, flight and with the fantastic deals available on the hotels you can book one of those too. All that’s left to do then is pack and look forward to the holiday ahead, and the extra night is an added bonus!
We’ve since booked into one of the Birmingham airport hotels and two Stansted airport hotels – we’ve always bagged a bargain and had a great night’s sleep, leaving us ready to enjoy the holiday ahead to the full.
So whether you’re setting off on business or not, I’d really suggest checking out the great deals available before your next trip. And if you’re looking for a way to entertain the kids whilst at the hotel Heathrow and Gatwick are just a stone’s throw from London – a great day out with something for everyone!
