Barcelona – Sunshine and sandy beaches, stunning architecture, a nightlife that lasts until morning and great shopping. Pretty much everything for everyone in one place and flights are reasonable from several UK airports too. A city of cultural contrasts and an upbeat party scene that is well worth considering.
Brighton – Local to the UK and a wonderfully vibrant and colourful place to spend a couple of days. Whether it’s a pampering session, shopping in one of the many independent shops or larking about on the beach, Brighton has become one of the most popular hen weekend destinations in the UK. It’s party scene is legendary and you’ll find a plethora of hen-friendly bars and clubs.
Bristol – A youthful city with two universities, this sea faring city is rapidly becoming a staple in every list of possible hen weekend venues. There is a vast array of Bristol activities from pampering to cocktail making, immense shopping and a huge local comedy / music and night club scene. Add in a huge array of summer festivals and you’ll wonder whether a weekend is enough!
Brussels – Beer, waffles and chocolate! Make your own chocolate in Planète Chocolat, discover the joys of Belgian beers in the 18th century Delirium Café or maybe join a beer tour. The less indulgent could enjoy a bicycle tour of the city or just spend some chill time in the Grand Place and the market. There’s plenty to see and do in the Eurozone’s capital city.
Canary Islands – Lanzarote, Fuertaventura, Tenerife pretty much guarantee sunshine, so this is a great opportunity to top up your tan before the big day! Ride camels, go surfing or just chill out and enjoy some quality time in the sun. The nightlife is plentiful, the cocktails cheap and there’s plenty of places to stay to make this a hot choice for many!
Cardiff – Once an outsider for hen weekends, Cardiff is now firmly on the map. With its habour side, Cardiff Bay, now refurbished and a myriad of bars and restaurants to choose from, when summer time arrives Cardiff certainly does come alive. Visit in July if you want to make the most of the outdoor festivals, and enjoy everything Cardiff has to offer, from fabulous scenery to wonderful restaurants and great Cardiff hen weekend nightlife.
Ibiza – Upping the tempo a notch or two you can always head out to Ibiza. Ibiza Town is for the more upmarket hen party and is like a mini-Monaco with an abundance of glamorous yachts. San Antonio is a clubbers’ paradise. Let’s be blunt, if you can’t find a great party in Ibiza you’re not the right kind of visitor!
London – Some may think it’s a bit old hat but London still has so much going for it. There’s a huge array of places to visit, a myriad of shops and even spending some time watching the tourists can be hugely entertaining! Go upmarket in Claridges or The Ritz before taking in a show in the West End. Perfect.
New York – A bit more pricey and a lot further to travel but what a fantastic destination for those lucky ladies who have a little more cash to part with. Get all girly and live it up Sex and the City style enjoying a few days of shopping, exploring and hitting the best bars in town.
Paris – Gallic flair and culture, one of the great romantic cities of the world with sights to see and rich culture to sample – art, food and fashion and so much style! Hop on the Eurostar for ease and find yourself some affordable accommodation, unless you want to splash out, which you sure can in style here.
