2019 is looking set to be a memorable year in sport with a number of fantastic competitions taking place. This could mean travelling over for both a holiday and to watch the live sporting action. Here we cover the top three destinations in 2019 and the sport you do not want to miss.
JAPAN – Rugby World Cup
The ninth edition of the Rugby World Cup is taking place in Japan, starting at the end of November. This will be the first time it has been held in Asia, so you can expect for them to put on a show. New Zealand are heading in as the SugarHouse sportsbetting favourites for the tournament, as they look to win for the third tournament in succession. The World Cup will without a doubt be a well-attended event as fans travel over from all around the World. Japan has become one of the fastest growing travel destinations in the World. It is also a great family friendly destination so can be a great choice in tailoring for everyone’s needs.
Qatar – IAAF World Championships
Qatar are fast becoming a big name in the sporting World and this will be their first big test before they are set to host the next 2022 football World Cup. This will be the 17th edition of the Athletics’ World Championships in what is expected to be a stunning occasion, in which Qatar will put on a show. The championships will be taking place in Doha, in the renovated multi-purpose Khalifa International stadium. Qatar has become one of the fastest growing countries in the tourism industry, and has gone through a huge development in recent times in order to do so. One popular destination to visit in Doha is the traditional market called Souq Waqif.

England – Cricket World Cup
The 12th edition of the Cricket World Cup is taking place in England and Wales between May and July. If last year is to go by it could be very sunny temperatures while this is taking place, so could be a very popular destination for many. Australia are the defending champions but do not look to have as strong a side as they have in some of the past tournaments. England are the general favourites for the tournament as they look to win their first World Cup title. This will be the fifth time they have hosted the tournament and it is always a very well organised event.
