If you are in Australia you might have seen those Corona ads, “From Where You’d Rather Be“. These ads are so well done that the Mexico Tourism Board should be using them to promote their land.
Corona and Lonely Planet have teamed up to offer a travel competition, where you can Win a trip to Mexico to take photos for Lonely Planet.
To enter, submit your best shot from where you’d rather be. The winner will be hand-picked by the photo editor of Lonely Planet and will head off on assignment later in the year.
The winner must be able to take the prize between the months of June and November 2011. The prize consists of:
Return economy airfares for two adults, from Sydney to Mexico City, together with transfers, to and from Sydney airport (approximately retail value AU$4,500).
14 nights’ accommodation for two adults (approximate retail value AU$3,000).
Internal flight for two adults from Mexico City to Puerto Escondido (approximate retail value AU$1,000).
Internal flight for two adults from Bahías de Huatulco to Mexico City (AU$1,000).
AU$3,000 to be used for daily expenses for two adults.
Bus fares/taxis for two between Puerto Escondido and Bahías de Huatulco (approximate retail value AU$700).
Puerto Escondido surfing class for two adults (approximate retail value AU$150).
Puerto Escondido marine-life watching trip for two adults (approximate retail value AU$300).
Yoga classes in Zipolite-San Agustinillo-Mazunte for two adults (approximate retail value AU$100).
Playa La Ventanilla canoeing/horseback riding tour for two adults (approximate retail value AU$150).
Snorkeling and picnic lunch expedition in Huatulco for two adults (approximate retail value AU$300).
